Personal Statement:

Hello! My name is Ashley. I am 15 years old and have been homeschooled practically my whole life. I enjoy riding my horses, playing guitar and singing in my church praise band. I also love working with children especially ones with special needs. I have had many experiences around hospitals for cancer patients. My friend had DIPG- A form of inoperable brain cancer- and I used to go to the hospital with her for CHEMO treatments. Going with her to those hospitals really inspired me to go into the medical field. I hope to someday become a nurse for children with cancer. (Pediatric Oncology) If nursing doesn't work out for me I would love to go in Psychology, specializing in autism. I really enjoy helping other out because without helping each other out I don't this we would be able to make it in this world.

I love Claire De Lune by Claude Debussy. I listen to almost any type of country or Christian music.

 To Save A Life, Soul Surfer, Courageous, Flicka, and The Proposal are some of my favorite movies. 

I love reading books with a mystery. I used to love reading Nancy Drew when I was younger.

I'm looking for a college that will help me explore life to the fullest. A college that teaches me all the stuff I need to know to make in it in the medical field. One that has a diversity of people and accepts people for who they are, and doesn't expect them to change their opinion based upon facts that may or may not be true. I'm looking for a college that challenges me to do my best.
