Personal Statement:

I've been looking forward to attending college my whole life. While most little girls were planning out their weddings and family vacations, I was dreaming about Harvard and Yale. When I was 8, I wanted to be a surgeon. Four years later, I became interested in debate and hoped to become a lawyer or hold public office. These days, I'm playing music and hoping to pursue a degree as a music teacher.

What I'm looking for in a college:

I want to attend a college that will help me grow as a Christian. Only God knows what will best achieve that goal, but I can think of a few things off the top of my head that might help.

1) a strong focus on Christ as opposed to so-called "Christian behavior"

2) Students and professors who are willing to look deeper and find answers to tough questions

3) a music program that teaches musicianship and theory as a means to adding to the beauty of the world and showing people that God exists.
