School Description:
Nationally recognized as a Top 20 Business Program andthe #1 school in entrepreneurship for 13 years, Babson College defines entrepreneurship education for the world. Our learning concepts provide students with the ability to adapt to ever-changing business environments, the experience to hit the ground running upon graduation, and the know-how to discover opportunities that will create economic and social value everywhere. We believe, as do our graduates and their employers, in the value of an integrated approach combined with experiential education. As a business school where one-half of the classes are in liberal arts, Babson emphasizes creativity, imagination, and risk-taking as essential to learning the foundation of business.
Babson’s close-knit community provides students with the opportunity to form close relationships with faculty and staff. An average class size of 29 and student/faculty ratio of 14:1 allow faculty to serve as role models and mentors committed to helping our students grow. With more than 90 percent holding a doctoral degree, these accomplished business executives, authors, entrepreneurs, scholars, researchers, and artists bring an intellectual diversity and real-world experience that adds depth to Babson’s programs. Most importantly, faculty members teach 100 percent of the courses.
At Babson, students receive a world-class education that is innovative and creative, yet practical. They study business, learn about leadership, and undertake a transformative life experience preparing them to create an authentic, powerful brand of success. Our students make friends, find mentors, and develop long-lasting relationships that will thrive long after graduation.
Babson has 22 NCAA Division III men's and women's varsity teams, many of which regularly win conference, regional, and national honors. Within the past three years, our field hockey, men’s ice hockey, men’s skiing, softball, and women’s lacrosse teams have all appeared in the NCAA tournament. Babson has had a number of league and individual champions in our conferences in recent years and with the birth of Beaver Nation, community support for Babson Athletics is stronger than ever.
You can try an intramural or club sport, such as ice hockey, ultimate Frisbee, rugby, flag football, water polo, or mountain biking. If team sports are not your thing, you can design your own workout in the state-of-the-art Lunder Fitness Center, take a Yoga class, learn Tai Chi, or take a Tae Bo class. And with some of the best facilities in the area, including our award-winning baseball field, watching our teams compete is just as fun as participating!
